Born Port Melbourne, 3 October, 1890, enlisted 25 January, 1940, served V82733, Private, 12 Garrison Depot, locality on enlisting Albert Park, Attested in South Melbourne; NOK GARLEPP, Alma. Discharged 20 March, 1943

    A son, Ernest John GARLEPP, born Port Melbourne 20 July, 1942 enlisted 31 July, 1909 from Albert Park, served as VX101551, Sergeant, 1 Australian Line Construction Group. discharged 5 November, 1945.

    Willam and George GARLEPP were cousins of a slightly unusual nature – their fathers, William and Henry, were married to two sisters by the name of FRENCH, Sarah and Catherine
