‘RT’ as Roland Thomas Rose was commonly known, owned a licensed grocer at 168 Ross Street. He was born in Brunswick in March 1893 and was a carpenter living at 105 Graham Street when he enlisted in July 1915.
Information provided by Judi Groves, RT’s granddaughter

As is often the case, the age provided by the family does not quite match the age recorded on the enlistment papers. In RT’s case, there is no obvious reason for him to change his age as he was well over the age of 18 and indeed was married at the time of his enlistment. You can read more about Rose family here.
