Asthma

Private, 77 Company, Seymour, died from illness, 19 August, 1915, aged 24, commemorated Coburg General Cemetery.

Mother: Mrs Bridget PRIDEAUX, Sister: Mrs Jessie RIDDIFORD, born Port Melbourne. A 24-year-old driver who enlisted showing his mother at 114 Dow Street, subsequently marked as deceased and next of kin altered to his married sister at 5 Esplanade Place. Prideaux spent four weeks in Seymour camp before he died of asthma at his home 19 August, 1915. Interred Coburg General Cemetery. Another Death Notice, 18 September, 1915 lists the passing of “John Henry PRIDEAUX of 3 Church Street, Port Melbourne, “loved husband of May, loving son of Bridget Prideaux, loved father of Leslie, and loving brother of Jessie”.
