122  (Parents : George (late) and Mrs Lillian CATHIE (previously PECK), born Carlton, educated SS.    Peck enlisted as a 21-year-old cabinet maker, his address given as 77 Grosvenor Street, Balaclava, with mother at 77 Albert Street, Port Melbourne. Originally reported as missing, a later Court of Inquiry determined that he had been killed during the first day of the landing, although what appears to be the only eyewitness report suggested it “was rumoured” Peck had been killed “around 8 May”. No known grave  The circular was returned from the Albert Street address with Port Melbourne nominated as the late serviceman’s place of association)
