Private, 86th Training Company, Seymour, died of disease, Alfred Hospital, aged 32, commemorated Colac Cemetery.

Father: Charles O’NEAL, Born Port Melbourne. A 32-year-old labourer who enlisted with his father as next of kin in Warrnambool, later Woodend. O’Neal was at the Seymour Camp less than a month before he died at the Alfred Hospital, 26 August, 1915 after one of a handful of servicemen admitted to the civilian hospital during the meningitis epidemic that claimed over 250 members of the AIF across Australia. Interred Colac Cemetery.
