Private, 16 Infantry, killed in action 8 August, 1918, France, aged 22, commemorated Heath Cemetery, Picardie, France.

Parents: Baranabas and Ann MORGAN, born Leagher via Boort, educated SS. He enlisted as a 21-year-old labourer (saw mill hand), parents then at 265 Graham Street, Port Melbourne. Awarded Military Medal (posthumously), gazetted Australia 12 February 1919. His parents were at 103 Princes Street at the time the circular was returned, Bullarah in Gippsland nominated as their late son’s closest place of association.
