Mother: Mrs H LUKEY, born Port Melbourne. He was a 28-year-old jeweller on enlistment with his mother in Brunswick. Like hundreds of others of Australians, Lukey was reported Missing at Fromelles on 19 July 1916. pronounced fate as killed in action as at that date at a Court of Enquiry, held in the field, 4 August 1917, There are no eyewitness reports; he was simply never seen again. No known grave, no circular returned.
