  1. George Whitlock Hill died 31 December, 1947 in Caulfield Repatriation Hospital at 56 years, late of 7 Service street, South Melbourne and noted a member of the Totally and Permanently Disabled Soldier’s Association; interred Brighton Cemetery. Born Latham Street, Northcote, parents William and Euphemia Kirk, nee Adlam. A brother, Frederick Pearce Hill also enlisted from Swallow Street but was sischarged from Macleod Rest Camp due to loss of fingers on right hand after around 10 months. He later served in Second World War as a Private with 4 Veterinary Hospital, V81783, then in Malvern before dying in South Yarra in 1966 at 71 years;
