Lieutenant, 29 Infantry, killed in action 23 July, 1918, France, age 27, commemorated Mericourt-L’Abbe Communal Cemetery Extension, France.

Mother: Mrs Eileen Jackson (father deceased), born Stawell, educated Nott Street SS. A 24-year-old accountant who enlisted with his mother shown at 42 Swallow Street, later altered to a sister Jean JACKSON, initially at 161 Dow Street, but East Camberwell and Mrs D R McAULEY when the circular was returned. Killed in action in France, probably at Morlancourt, on 23 July 1918, 27 years of age.
